This statue depicts the saint with a rabbit and a shovel for the garden. This beautiful flat-back hand-carved statue has sturdy hardware on the back for hanging, or he will stand in a nicho, or on your table, shelf or altar display. Handmade and painted by artisans of Bohol, Phillippines.
St. Fiacre is the patron saint of gardeners and healing. Born in Ireland, he is renowned for his hermit life and establishing a hospice in Meaux, France. Fiacre is celebrated for his miraculous healing powers and gardening skills. Many legends surround him, including his ability to expand his garden with divine help. His feast day is observed on September 1st.
