Luca della Robbia (1399/1400–1482) was an Italian stone sculptor from Florence who became famous for his glazed terracotta roundels. After developing his signature technique in the early 1440s, he moved away from his stone sculptures working mostly with terracotta, and passed the technique on to his nephew Andrea della Robbia and great-nephew Giovanni della Robbia.
Our Della Robbias are made in Firenze (Florence) and are modeled after the highly sought-after style that Luca della Robbia made famous.
