15.75” square Torrita Di Siena is the ancient (1300 AD) Tuscan locale for this tiny, family-owned ceramics factory. They specialize in a technique known as ceramic relief, in which the design is sketched to create a resist within which the various colors of glaze are contained. The result is a colorful, mosaic effect which works particularly well with the artists’ sunny, happy themes! These handmade and hand painted tabletops can also be hung on the wall or installed as decorative panels and feature the colorful hilltop village or seaside scenes of Italy.
